“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to
change ourselves.”

Individual Psychotherapy
My therapeutic approach
Therapy with me is like having a personal hiking guide: I’m equipped with knowledge and skills for the journey and we’ll be traveling together towards your destination, at your pace, and according to your ability.
I work from a holistic understanding of my clients, which I define in two ways: (1) You are composed of body, mind, and soul; and (2) You are one part of a larger, relational, family, and cultural system. This means we will enter into our work in a way that addresses, integrates, and supports all facets of who you are as we work towards your goals for therapy.
My primary framework in practicing psychotherapy is Interpersonal Neurobiology. Additionally, I utilize the therapeutic concepts of Logotherapy (Existential Theory) and Bowen Family Systems Theory. In our work together, we will explore how your mind functions, courageously face psychological impairments to healing, and gradually move towards a state of more integrated mind, body, and relationships to help you embrace life with greater meaning, hope, and peace.
My work inevitably carries the perspectives of my own cultural and faith identities as an Indian American and an Orthodox Christian. I offer psychotherapy that incorporates one’s cultural and/or faith identity at the request of the individual client. Individuals of different backgrounds are warmly welcomed and your unique identity will be highly respected and valued throughout our work together.

Teletherapy
Teletherapy is an accessible and secure service method offered via HIPAA-compliant video conferencing software. Due to state licensing regulations, I can only provide teletherapy to residents of Texas who are in-state at the time of service.
EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an evidence-based treatment protocol that helps the brain process and heal from traumatic events and memories. EMDR is more intense than talk-therapy and is equally effective over telehealth as in-person.
